Christopher Place Summer Programme

The Speech Language and Hearing Centre at Christopher Place is for babies and children under 5 who have hearing impairment or delay in speech, language and communication.
While we provide direct 1:1 therapy, we also have a child-centred, play based programme which combines teaching and therapy from an interdisciplinary professional team.
The Centre is an award winning, purpose built building, the only one of its kind in the UK. We opened in September 1995 and provides an acoustically treated environment where a structured language enriched programme is offered to each child.
We offer a number of packages depending on your requirements:
Taster
Two x 1 hour speech and language therapy sessions.
£160
Mini-Bronze
Two x 2½ hour education sessions and two 30 minute speech and language therapy sessions.
£300
Midi-Bronze
Four x 2½ hour education sessions and four 30 minute speech and language therapy sessions.
£600
Maxi-Bronze
Eight x 2½ hour education sessions and eight 30 minute speech and language therapy sessions.
£1,100
Gold
Eight x 2½ hour education sessions, eight 30 minute speech and language therapy sessions and eight 30 minute occupational therapy sessions.
£1,500
* All families, who are new to Christopher Place will need to:
- complete a questionnaire about their child.
- bring along any recent relevant reports from professionals working with their child.
Extras
We also provide three types of assessment that accompany and compliment the above packages:
- 1 hr speech and language therapy assessment:
£160 - Occupational therapy assessment
£185 -
Joint occupational therapy and speech and language therapy assessment
£300 - Full team assessment (speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and psychology)

There is also a range of extra sessions and workshops that will enhance the overall benefit of the Summer Programme; these can be added to the packages on the left (prices available on request):
Parent Workshops - “Facilitating Language,” “Managing Behaviour,” “Emotional Wellbeing” and “Supporting Your Deaf Toddler.”
£25.00 (Minimum number of 4 people)
Other Sessions – Educational Psychologist consultation, Psychotherapist consultation and Music Sessions.
Feeding Clinic – Baby and Toddler.
