Workshops & Professional Development

We added a new wing to our award-winning building in 2004, to expand existing services and to create additional meeting space for the Christopher Place Training Programme. As a result, we now offer a series of workshops throughout the year for speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, early years practitioners, health visitors, NNEB's and teachers of deaf children.

Through our workshops, professionals working with children under five can enhance their skills and knowledge, especially in respect of multi- and interdisciplinary working. We strongly believe in using approaches that reinforce total communication and we use these approaches to help children to listen, speak and interact with each other and with adults. Each workshop costs £80 per participant.

To register for a workshop, complete the online booking form and send a cheque payable to 'Christopher Place' with the name of the training course on the reverse.

We can also come to you and run specific training programmes and workshops in your workplace. This offers a more cost effective route if you have a number of staff members to be trained. Please email us for more information about this.
